The Shepherdess Please welcome my grandmother Lucea to DreamWorld! To give credit where it’s due, I have to say that I originally got the idea to shoot my grandmother for DreamWorld from Ashley Lebedev’s beautiful portrait of her grandmother. But of course I didn’t want to simply copy her idea, but create a character who really embodied all the things about my grandmother that make her wonderful. I wrote up a blog about the making of this photo, which included discovering that electroluminescent wire exists and how to use it, creating a crown of light, and photographing the lamb (who is perfectly named Too Cute) and my grandmother at completely different times and locations. My Gramma is a wonderful, strong, very special lady and I’m so glad I was given the idea to photograph her for DreamWorld! *Prints *Blog *Facebook *Twitter *Sarah Allegra Artistry
